Loom Weaving and Natural Dyeing - Catamarca

During 1 week, we will introduce you to Catamarca, gateway to the Argentinean Puna.
We will meet some of the most precious artisans and we will learn from them various techniques they learnt themselves from their ancestors. Spinning, dyeing and weaving techniques on different types of wools.
We will also share warm moments, talks, experiences and stories. And of course, we will have access to their exclusive and beautiful loom-weaved products.
Last but not least, we will get to know unique landscapes, which will bring us deep inside of us, enjoying every corner, experience and feeling...
Catamarca is a province of Argentina, located in the Northwest, between the Andes and the Altiplano.
Basket-making - Copacabana Córdoba
Next departure – OCTOBER 2019
This proposal will bring us to the North of Córdoba, specifically to the village of Copacabana, where time seems to go slowly, and hand-made objects are full of meaning.
Basket-making is the village’s main activity and we will find both objects made for daily use as well as design articles.
We will walk into the hills to collect ourselves the raw material for our activities: the Caranday palm-leaves.
We will also visit the tiny and old chapel, venue for the village’s popular gatherings and celebrations.
Accommodation is organized in a lodge in the middle of the nature and a hilly landscape, to enjoy every minute in communion with Mother Earth.
We will go into a trekking activity (difficulty level: medium) through beautiful landscapes.
Experience will be completed with a visit to the Capital city and learning more about the basket-making art. Full experience: 6 days.
